Terms & Conditions – Detox Cleaning Solutions



We genuinely appreciate your business and are committed to providing high-quality cleaning services with care and attention to detail.


To ensure everything runs smoothly and expectations are clear, please take a moment to read the following Terms and Conditions.


By proceeding with your booking and paying the deposit, you confirm that you’ve read, understood, and agreed to them in full.

 


1. General Conditions

  • By proceeding with your booking, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  • Your presence at the property during cleaning is not required. Access can be arranged via a key left in a secure location (e.g., meter box, letterbox), and the key will be returned to the same location upon completion.
  • If the key is being left in a different location to the letterbox or meter box, please send a photo to our mobile number showing the exact location.
  • The person who made the booking must be contactable by phone on the day of service.
  • You will be notified via text message when the job is completed.

 


2. Booking Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
  • The remaining balance is due 24 hours prior to the scheduled service.
  • Detox Cleaning reserves the right to cancel or reschedule if the property differs significantly from the original description or due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service if the property poses a risk to our staff.

 


3. Access & Parking

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure access to the property, including providing parking nearby.
  • Any parking fees incurred by our staff will be added to the final invoice.
  • If there are any parking permits for the property or street, please leave these on the kitchen bench for us to use while parked at the location.

 


4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service will forfeit the 50% deposit (non-refundable).
  • If the booking is cancelled due to services not being required, trades being delayed, or failure to provide access, the 50% deposit will also be forfeited.
  • No refunds will be issued once the service has been completed.
  • Detox Cleaning reserves the right to cancel a service and provide a partial refund (half the deposit) if a property is deemed unsafe, hazardous, or not as described.

 


5. Scope of Service

Standard vacate cleaning includes:

  • 1 Kitchen
  • 1 Laundry
  • 1 Oven
  • 1 Living Area
  • 1 Dining Area

Exclusions and client responsibilities:

  • Our staff will not move furniture over 5kg. Areas under beds, sofas, or heavy furniture must be cleared beforehand.
  • No service warranty is offered for areas obstructed by furniture.
  • Properties above ground level without lift access incur a minimum $150 surcharge.
  • Grout cleaning, rubbish removal, external areas, and balconies are not included unless specifically quoted.

 


6. Property Condition & Extra Charges

Our quotes are based on the property to be in a reasonably clean and well-maintained condition. Additional charges may apply for properties left in poor condition:

  •  You will be notified of extra charges by text before we commence any additional work.
  • If the property condition is unacceptable, Detox Cleaning reserves the right to cancel the job. In such cases, any paid deposit will be refunded minus a $200 service fee.

 


7. Quote Variations

  • If a price adjustment is needed, you will be advised before work starts.
  • If you decline the revised quote, you may cancel the job and receive a refund less a $200 service fee.
  • If you proceed without accepting the variation, some or all service warranty coverage may be voided.

 


8. Property Preparation Requirements

To ensure a successful vacate clean, the property must be fully cleared and prepared prior to our team’s arrival:

  • All personal furniture and household items must be removed.
  • Toilet brushes, toilet roll storage containers, and cleaning products must be removed.
  • Shower curtains must be removed and a new curtain left sealed on the vanity.
  • All rubbish must be removed from inside and outside the property.
  • Any leftover food, utensils, or belongings must be cleared.

 


9. Exclusions – Areas and Services Not Covered

Please note that the following items and services are not included in any standard or additional cleaning packages unless otherwise agreed in writing or added on service:

  • Not included: wall cleaning or removal of wall marks
  • Not included: cleaning of window coverings such as blinds, venetians, and shutters
  • Not included: cleaning of furniture or white goods (e.g., fridges, washing machines or dryers).
  • Not included: ceiling air conditioning vent cleaning (can be added as extra charge – need to advise if this is required)
  • Not included: grout cleaning (can be added as extra charge)
  • Not included: full calcium removal off shower screens or floor tiles
  • Not included: ceiling cleaning or removal of marks from ceilings
  • Not included: outdoor cleaning (including patios, balconies, fences, gutters, downpipes)
  • Not included: removal of paint overspray or paint drops on surfaces
  • Not included: removal of paint from power points and light switches
  • Not included: cobweb removal from outside the house, fences, gutters, or downpipes
  • Not included: removal of hard water stains from exterior windows
  • Not included: guaranteed removal of pet odours from carpets
  • Not included: guaranteed removal of heavy cooking or spice odours from kitchens
  • Not included: removal of stickers from doors, windows, sliding robe doors
  • Not included: removal of child safety locks or sticky residue (can be added for an extra charge but must be advised at time of booking)
  • Not included: removal of oil stains from garage floors
  • Not included: removal of stubborn oil stains from kitchen doors (sometimes these stains penetrate the surface)



These exclusions reflect limitations due to the nature of the surfaces, environmental factors, or specialized cleaning requirements beyond the scope of standard vacate cleaning.

 


10. Carpet Steam Cleaning

  • Our standard carpet steam clean targets dirt, dust, and most light stains.
  • Removal of embedded pet hair, pet odours, or permanent stains is not guaranteed.
  • It is essential to notify us of stains at the time of booking.
  • If there are any noticeable stains on the carpet that require removal, please inform us prior to our arrival.
  • While most stains are typically addressed during the standard steam cleaning process, advanced stain removal for stubborn stains involves specialised treatment and is charged from $30 per stain, depending on severity and type.
  • Failure to notify us in advance may result in the stain not being fully treated during the initial service.
  • Re-visits for undisclosed stains will incur a call-out fee plus costs for stain treatment and full re-cleaning.

 


11. Mould, Discolouration & Calcium

  • Mould removal will be attempted but is not guaranteed, particularly if embedded in grout or silicone.
  • We do not guarantee restoration of original surface colour if affected by age, chemical damage, or cleaning products.
  • Full calcium removal from tiles or shower screens is not guaranteed.


 

12. Fragile Fixtures

While we take care in our work, Detox Cleaning does not accept responsibility for damage to fragile or aging fixtures, such as:

  • Exhaust fan covers
  • Flyscreens
  • Aluminium shower frames
  •  

13. Photographic Evidence

  • Photos may be taken before, during, and after the clean to document the property’s condition.
  • These are used for internal quality checks and as evidence in case of disputes.

 


14. Bond Return Guarantee (Service Warranty)

We will return free of charge to address concerns only if the following conditions are met:

  • Full payment has been received prior to re-attendance
  • No other person or tradesperson has entered the property after our clean
  • The property remains vacant and untouched
  • A cleaning issue is raised within 3 calendar days of the completed cleaning
  • A written report with supporting images is provided by the managing agent

Important:

  • If anyone uses toilets, sinks, or walks through the property leaving debris or footprints on the floors after our clean, the warranty is void. (photos are taken after the cleaning)
  • Photos taken post-clean are retained and may be used as reference.
  • Pest/Pet control professionals must attend after our clean and avoid dirtying cleaned floors. We recommend the following day. This allows the carpets and floors to be fully dry when they attend and stops footprints being left on the flooring. Please let them know not to leave debris on the flooring from their shoes or any sprayed substances.

We do not guarantee against:

  • Dust build-up after the clean
  • Weather effects or open windows
  • Insects, pests, or natural events
  • Outdoor areas or windows

 


15. Client Conduct

  • Any abusive, threatening, or unreasonable behaviour will result in immediate cancellation of the service, loss of warranty, and forfeiture of the deposit (no refund)
  • Detox Cleaning reserves the right to refuse or cancel service under such circumstances.

 

16. Breach by Client

  • If the client fails to pay for the service, a written notice will be issued.
  • Continued non-payment will result in debt recovery action and incurred fees.
  • All legal and recovery costs will be payable by the client.

 

17. Quotation Validity – Terms and Conditions

     • All quotations provided are valid for a period of 30 calendar days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated in writing.
      • After the 30-day period, pricing, availability, and proposed timelines may be subject to change without notice.
      • Acceptance of the quotation after the validity period may require a revised quote to reflect any changes in material costs, labour rates, or            other relevant factors.
      • To secure the quoted pricing and terms, confirmation in writing (via email or signed acceptance) must be received within the 30-day         validity  period.
      • Any delays in acceptance or changes to the scope of work may impact the final pricing and schedule.
      • The company reserves the right to withdraw or revise a quotation at any time before written acceptance is received.



18. Final Notes

  • All personal items and rubbish must be removed before our team arrives.
  • We are not responsible for any items left behind or damage resulting from failure to remove items before cleaning.
